Volkswagen India is rolling out impressive discounts and benefits on its popular models—the Taigun midsize SUV, Virtus midsize sedan, and Tiguan SUV. These offers include cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and loyalty bonuses, providing considerable savings for prospective buyers. The Taigun, in particular, is seeing a notable increase in discounts compared to last month, while the benefits for the Virtus and Tiguan have experienced a slight decrease.
Volkswagen Taigun Discounts
For August 2024, Volkswagen is offering substantial discounts on the Taigun. The MY23 models, which compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, and the upcoming Tata Curvv and Citroen Basalt, come with discounts of up to ₹2.28 lakh. These models feature a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox.
For those interested in the MY24 Taigun, the discounts vary by variant. The 1.0-litre TSI versions come with discounts of up to ₹1.2 lakh, while the 1.5 TSI models offer benefits of up to ₹1.87 lakh. This month, the cash discount brings the entry-level Taigun’s ex-showroom price down to ₹10.90 lakh, from its previous price of ₹11.70 lakh.
Volkswagen Virtus Discounts
The Virtus, Volkswagen’s answer to competitors like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia, is also available with attractive discounts this August. Buyers can receive up to ₹1.25 lakh in total benefits, primarily on the mid-spec 1.0 TSI Highline AT variant. The 1.5 TSI-equipped Virtus offers benefits up to ₹70,000. With these discounts, the entry ex-showroom price of the Virtus is reduced to ₹10.90 lakh, down from ₹11.56 lakh.
Both the Virtus and Taigun share the same engine options: a 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, available with manual and automatic gearbox options.
Volkswagen Tiguan Discounts
For August 2024, Volkswagen’s Tiguan, which competes with the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass, offers discounts of up to ₹1.5 lakh on MY23 models. The MY24 Tiguan models are available with benefits up to ₹1.25 lakh. This SUV is equipped with a 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, featuring VW’s 4Motion AWD technology. The current ex-showroom price of the Tiguan is ₹35.17 lakh.
