In July 2024, Toyota’s Innova lineup in India has seen a slight reduction in waiting periods. Customers booking the Innova Crysta or Hycross can now expect deliveries between five to thirteen months, depending on the variant chosen.
The Innova Hycross lineup offers two powertrain options. Entry-level models feature a 172hp 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an automatic gearbox, while higher variants boast a 184hp 2.0-litre petrol engine with strong-hybrid technology. Currently, the waiting period for non-hybrid petrol variants has reduced to about four to five months. However, the more popular petrol-hybrid Innova Hycross still commands a waiting period of 13 months.
Bookings for the Innova Hycross ZX and ZX (O) are temporarily paused, but interested customers can join waiting lists maintained by some dealers. Existing bookings are being transferred to new buyers in case of cancellations.
To stimulate sales, Toyota introduced a top-spec GX (O) trim for the non-hybrid Innova Hycross, which has the lowest demand among the variants.
The Toyota Innova Crysta, priced between Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 26.55 lakh (ex-showroom), currently has an official waiting period of approximately five months, down from six months in June 2024. Dealers report that most orders are being fulfilled in around two months, depending on available inventory. It features a 150hp, 343Nm 2.4-litre diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, competing against smaller MPVs like the Ertiga, Kia Carens, and Maruti XL6.
