Tata Motors will unveil the production-ready version of its Curvv SUV-coupe on July 19, with an official launch slated for next month. This model will be India’s first mass-market SUV-coupe, offering an alternative to midsize SUVs

The Tata Curvv will feature a 125hp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with both manual and automatic gearbox options. Additionally, it will be available with the Nexon’s 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. The Curvv EV is expected to have a range of 450-500km, utilizing Tata’s Gen 2 acti.ev architecture, though specific details are yet to be disclosed.

The Curvv EV is anticipated to start at around Rs 20 lakh, with prices likely revealed on August 7. In Tata’s electric vehicle lineup, the Curvv EV will be positioned above the Nexon EV and below the upcoming Harrier EV. The internal combustion engine (ICE) version will launch after the EV, with an expected price range of Rs 10 lakh-11 lakh.

The Curvv EV will compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti eVX, and MG ZS EV. Its ICE version will rival midsize SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and Hyundai Creta.
