Taj Emerges as World’s Strongest and Second Fastest-Growing Hotel Brand, Valued at Over $545 Million

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), led by Tata, proudly announced that its prestigious Taj brand has once again been named the World’s Strongest Hotel Brand by Brand Finance. This recognition comes from the “Hotels 50 2024” report, an annual assessment of the most valuable and resilient hotel brands globally.

Taj achieved a remarkable 45% increase in brand value, reaching $545 million. The brand also secured an impressive Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 92.9 out of 100, earning an AAA+ rating, the highest accolade from Brand Finance.

The report highlighted Taj as the second-fastest-growing hotel brand worldwide, citing significant enhancements in metrics such as familiarity, consideration, recommendation, and reputation.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO of IHCL, expressed his delight at the recognition, particularly during Taj’s 120th anniversary. “This ongoing recognition, marking three occasions as global number one, underscores our brand’s enduring legacy of setting hospitality standards worldwide and showcasing the rich diversity of Indian hospitality,” Chhatwal remarked.

He underscored the strong bond guests have with Taj and the dedication of IHCL’s team to delivering exceptional service, a hallmark of the Taj experience.

Chhatwal concluded by reaffirming Taj’s commitment to leading sustainable and inclusive growth within the hospitality sector.
