Yesterday, we shared the first spy images of the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 650. Today, we have more news about another model based on the same platform: the Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin, a name recently trademarked by the company.
Royal Enfield Bullet 650: What We Know So Far.
The name Bullet 650 Twin closely resembles another recent trademark by Royal Enfield: the Classic 650 Twin. This suggests that two distinct models will be released, with the Bullet 650 not merely being a variant of the Classic. The Bullet 650 has been spotted in testing multiple times, revealing several details about the bike. Its overall design mirrors the 350cc Bullet and Classic models, but it borrows its engine and main frame from the Shotgun 650 and Super Meteor 650.
In keeping with traditional Bullet aesthetics, the new model features a ribbed single-piece seat and a tubular pillion grab rail, along with a boxy rear fender—hallmarks of the Bullet design. Despite its classic look, the inclusion of elements like an LED headlight indicates that this will be a modern and premium machine.
We anticipate that the Bullet and Classic 650 will share the same frame, underpinnings, and feature set, much like the smaller 350cc models. The 650cc twin-cylinder engine is expected to deliver the same 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque as the current 650 models.
While the exact launch date of the Bullet 650 remains unclear, it’s expected that the Royal Enfield Classic 650 and the Interceptor Bear 650 will debut this year. When the Bullet 650 does arrive, it will likely be positioned above the current 650 twins but below the Shotgun 650, reflecting its simpler equipment and the Bullet’s history as one of the more accessible models in the Royal Enfield lineup.
