Royal Enfield’s sales experienced a year-on-year (YoY) decline of 5.51% but showed a month-on-month (MoM) improvement of 2.91%, reaching 73,141 units in June 2024. Despite the YoY drop, Royal Enfield remains optimistic about future sales, bolstered by several new launches, including the upcoming RE Guerrilla 450 slated for release this month.
In June 2024, Royal Enfield recorded a YoY sales decrease of 5.15%, down from 77,109 units sold in June 2023. This represents a volume decline of 3,968 units. However, MoM sales saw a 2.91% improvement, up from 71,070 units in May 2024.

The sub-350cc segment, encompassing models like the Classic, Bullet, Hunter, and Meteor, which account for 84.04% of sales, saw a 10.48% YoY decline. Sales in this segment dropped to 61,465 units in June 2024, down from 68,664 units in June 2023. Nonetheless, MoM sales improved by 2.69%, increasing from 59,852 units in May 2024. The above-350cc segment, which includes the Himalayan, 650 Twins, and Super Meteor, saw sales improve by 38.26% YoY and 4.64% MoM, reaching 11,676 units in June 2024, up from 8,445 units in June 2023 and 11,158 units in May 2024.
Domestic sales and exports both experienced a YoY decline in June 2024, with domestic sales at 66,117 units and exports at 7,024 units. However, MoM sales improved by 2.93% domestically and 2.81% internationally.
Year-to-date (YTD) sales from April to June 2024 were not favorable for Royal Enfield. Sales fell marginally by 0.35% to 226,907 units during this period, compared to 227,706 units in the same period of the previous year. The sub-350cc segment saw a 4.07% YTD decline, with 194,183 units sold in the last quarter, down from 202,430 units in the April to June 2023 period. This represents a volume decline of 8,247 units, although this segment still commands an 85.58% share.

In contrast, the above-350cc segment showed a 29.47% YTD growth, with 32,724 units sold in the past quarter, an increase of 7,448 units over the 25,276 units sold in the same period in 2023. Domestic sales suffered a 1.20% YTD decline, dropping to 204,686 units in FY25 compared to 207,171 units in the previous year. Conversely, exports surged by 8.21%, with 22,221 units shipped from April to June 2024, up from 20,535 units in the same period of 2023.
Royal Enfield remains focused on strengthening its product portfolio and meeting consumer demand through strategic launches and improvements in sales performance.
