Authorities have identified the victims of the devastating terror attack on a bus transporting pilgrims in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir. Among the casualties are four individuals from Rajasthan, including a two-year-old child, and three from Uttar Pradesh. Currently, 41 pilgrims, primarily from Uttar Pradesh, are receiving treatment across three hospitals in Jammu and Reasi districts, with ten individuals sustaining gunshot wounds.
The attack occurred around 6:10 p.m. on Sunday when terrorists opened fire on the bus, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into a deep gorge near Teryath village in the Poni area. All nine victims, including the driver and conductor, have been identified, with efforts underway to repatriate their bodies to their respective states.
The injured, ranging from three to 50 years old, include ten individuals who underwent surgeries for gunshot wounds and are currently stable. The Government Medical College in Jammu, Narayana Hospital, and the district hospital in Reasi are providing medical care to the wounded, with the majority of patients hailing from Uttar Pradesh, followed by Delhi and Rajasthan.
