Today’s events at the Paris Olympics see Indian sports in high gear, with significant attention on Neeraj Chopra and the men’s hockey team. India’s hockey squad will contest the bronze medal match against Spain, while Neeraj Chopra, the reigning Olympic and World Championships gold medalist, is set to compete in the men’s javelin throw final.

The day’s action begins with golfers Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar teeing off for the second round of women’s individual stroke play.

At 2:05 PM, Indian athlete Jyothi Yarraji will be in the repechage round of the women’s 100m hurdles.

By 3:00 PM, the focus will shift to wrestling as Aman Sehrawat and Anshu compete in the round of 16 for the men’s and women’s freestyle 57 kg categories. Should they advance, the quarterfinals are scheduled for 4:20 PM.

After a tough semifinal loss to Germany, the Indian men’s hockey team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, will aim to secure a bronze medal against Spain at 5:30 PM.

If he qualifies, Aman Sehrawat will compete in the semifinals of the men’s 57 kg freestyle at 9:45 PM, followed by Anshu in the semifinals of the women’s 57 kg freestyle at 10:25 PM.

The day will culminate with Neeraj Chopra’s much-anticipated javelin final. Chopra, who threw 89.34 meters in his qualification round—a season-best performance—seeks to defend his Olympic title and join an elite group of back-to-back gold medalists.
