After much anticipation, Mahindra has officially revealed the prices for the Thar Roxx. The 5-door Thar Roxx starts at Rs 12.99 lakh for the entry-level MX1 petrol variant and Rs 13.99 lakh for the base diesel variant. This marks an increase of approximately Rs 1.64 lakh over the 3-door version, reflecting its higher positioning.
Thar Roxx Base MX1 Variant Features and Powertrain
The base MX1 variant of the Thar Roxx includes a range of features such as LED lighting, a dual-tone exterior, 18-inch steel wheels, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, push-button start, adjustable driver’s seat height, 60:40 split-folding rear bench seats, rear AC vents, and a rear USB-C port. For safety, it comes equipped with six airbags, ESC, and three-point seat belts for all passengers.
The base Roxx variant offers a choice between a 162hp, 330Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 152hp, 330Nm 2.2-litre diesel engine, both paired with a manual gearbox.

Exterior Styling and Design
The Thar Roxx features a distinctive new grille with six double-stacked slots, a departure from the seven-slot design of the 3-door Thar. The headlamps, retaining their circular shape, now include an LED projector setup with C-shaped Daytime Running Lamps, and higher variants are expected to offer LED fog lamps. The front bumper is updated with integrated fog lamp housings and faux brushed aluminium accents. Top variants may include fog lamps with a cornering function.

The Roxx sports prominent wheel arches and stylish 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on higher trims, with mid variants expected to have 18-inch alloys. The rear door features a unique, vertically positioned handle and a triangular quarter glass, reminiscent of the Thar EV concept. Most variants will offer a dual-tone paint scheme with a contrasting black roof, giving it a removable hardtop appearance.
At the rear, the Roxx mirrors the Thar 3-door but features subtly reprofiled tail-lamps with C-shaped LEDs and a tailgate design that incorporates a rear wiper and washer.

Interior Features and Technology
Inside, the Thar Roxx maintains the same dashboard as the 3-door model but introduces premium touches like soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads, especially in higher trims. The interior sports a dual-tone theme with beige perforated leatherette seats and a dark brown dashboard with contrasting elements. Higher trims feature dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation.
