Madhya Pradesh Explores Investment Opportunities at Bengaluru Event

On August 7-8, 2024, the government of Madhya Pradesh hosted an interactive session in Bengaluru, known as India’s Silicon Valley, to showcase investment opportunities in the state. The event aimed to attract leading investors and industrialists from various sectors such as IT, textiles, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals.

Event Overview

  • Objective: To highlight Madhya Pradesh’s investment potential and attract significant industrial interest.
  • Attendance: Over 500 participants, including investors from Karnataka and neighboring states, joined the session.

Key Highlights

  • One-on-One Meetings: More than 30 prominent industrialists engaged in personal discussions. Notable attendees included Reliance Consumer Products Limited, Nvidia, Google, DHL Global, Tech Mahindra, Cisco, Microsoft, Kennametal, AGI Glaspac, and Kirloskar Systems.
  • Proposals and Initiatives:
    • Nvidia: Proposed a plan to establish Madhya Pradesh as the “Intelligent Capital of India.”
    • Google Cloud: Suggested setting up a startup hub and a Center of Excellence to develop the state’s skilled workforce.
  • Investment Proposals: The session saw several significant investment proposals totaling approximately ₹3,200 crores.

Discussions with Major Companies

  • Focus Areas: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and other dignitaries discussed future IT developments with representatives from Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Happiest Minds, and SAP.

International Participation

  • Diplomatic Missions: Over 15 international diplomatic missions participated, including consuls general from Australia, Switzerland, Italy, and France, as well as honorary consuls from the UK, Finland, Poland, Cambodia, Morocco, Peru, Tunisia, and Namibia.

The event underscored Madhya Pradesh’s growing appeal as an investment destination and facilitated productive dialogues between the state and key industry players.
