Honda has expanded the lineup at its BigWing dealerships by introducing the Hornet 2.0 and CB200X, marking a departure from their traditional focus on premium offerings.

Both models will now be available alongside Honda’s existing lineup of premium motorcycles at BigWing showrooms, including the CB350, CB350RS, and H’ness CB350. Despite this expansion, prices for the Hornet 2.0 and CB200X remain unchanged, maintaining affordability in the premium segment.

The Honda CB200X shares its platform with the Hornet 2.0 but distinguishes itself with adventure-inspired features such as a fairing, tall windscreen, knuckle guards, and a plastic belly pan. These additions not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also create a robust visual impression, positioning it as a larger motorcycle compared to the Hornet 2.0.

Both the Hornet 2.0 and CB200X are powered by a 184cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 17.26hp at 8,500rpm and 15.9Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The CB200X is priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Hornet 2.0 is priced slightly lower at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda’s decision to introduce these models at BigWing dealerships aims to stimulate sales in these outlets, which traditionally cater to higher-capacity motorcycles but have seen lower sales volumes compared to regular Honda two-wheeler dealerships. This strategic move not only broadens the product range available at BigWing showrooms but also aligns with Honda’s efforts to capture a wider audience within the premium motorcycle segment in India.
