Police initiated an investigation after multiple incidents of gunfire occurred in Talegaon Dabhade, a town in the Maval taluka of Pune district, on Thursday night. The shootings were executed by suspects on motorcycles at four different locations, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Crime Branch of Pimpri Chinchwad police and the local police have combined forces in a manhunt for at least three suspects who were seen on one motorcycle. Witnesses suggest there might have been additional suspects on another motorcycle.

The incidents began around 8:30 PM and took place on various internal roads of Talegaon Dabhade, which is approximately 40 kilometers from Pune City. Two notable locations where the shootings occurred include Gajanan Maharaj Chowk and an area near a Hanuman temple.

According to a senior officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad police, initial investigations indicate that three individuals were riding a single motorcycle and were likely involved in all four shooting incidents. There are witness reports suggesting additional suspects may have been involved and were riding another motorcycle. At some of the locations, police recovered empty bullet casings, providing crucial evidence for the investigation.

The authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from cameras along the routes taken by the suspects to gather more information and track their movements. The collaborative efforts of the crime branch and the Talegaon Dabhade police station aim to swiftly apprehend the suspects and prevent further incidents. The senior officer emphasized the seriousness of the investigation and the ongoing efforts to scrutinize all available evidence to identify and capture those responsible for the shootings.
