In a historic moment, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is delivering the Budget for the seventh consecutive year, surpassing the record set by former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. Today marks the complete financial budget of the Modi government’s third term under the NDA alliance.
The Budget, presented during the ongoing Parliament Budget Session, covers fiscal year 2024-25, detailing expenditures, revenues, achievements of the past year, and goals for the upcoming year. The revised tax slabs under the new tax regime are as follows:
– Income ₹0-3 lakh: Nil tax
– Income ₹3-7 lakh: 5%
– Income ₹7-10 lakh: 10%
– Income ₹10-12 lakh: 15%
– Income ₹12-15 lakh: 20%
– Income above ₹15 lakh: 30%
