Amidst the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2024 results, the reported scorecards of four aspirants allegedly involved in the paper leak case have surfaced, including that of Anurag Yadav. Anurag, who has been arrested in connection with the case, obtained 185 marks out of 720, with a total percentile score of 54.84 (rounded off), according to the National Testing Agency (NTA).
However, a closer look at Anurag’s individual subject scores reveals a notable inconsistency. He achieved an 85.8 percentile in Physics, 51 percentile in Biology, but only a 5 percentile in Chemistry. His all-India rank is 10,51,525, with a category rank of 4,67,824 as an OBC candidate.
Among the other three students implicated, one scored 300 out of 720, resulting in a percentile of 73.37 (rounded off). This student obtained an 87.8 percentile in Biology but significantly lower percentiles of 15.5 and 15.3 in Physics and Chemistry, respectively.
In contrast, the scorecards of the remaining two students show strong performances across all subjects. One scored 581 out of 720, while the other achieved a score of 483.
The NEET-UG 2024 results have sparked widespread protests and allegations of irregularities, particularly concerning aspirants achieving perfect scores of 720. Anurag Yadav, 22, from Samastipur, Bihar, admitted to receiving the leaked question paper from his uncle the day before the exam, according to statements given to the police. His uncle, Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu, allegedly facilitated the arrangements from Kota, Rajasthan, instructing Anurag to memorize the answers provided.
