Ducati has unveiled the 2025 Panigale V4, marking the most significant update to the superbike since its debut in 2018. The entire motorcycle has been extensively revised. Notably, the 2025 Panigale V4 is the first flagship Ducati superbike since the iconic 916 to feature a double-sided swingarm, a change that is sure to polarize the Ducatisti.
Engine and Performance Enhancements
At the heart of the new Panigale V4 is the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, now certified to Euro5+ emission standards. Despite stricter emissions regulations, the engine produces 216 hp at 13,500 rpm, a slight increase of 0.5 hp, achieved 500 rpm higher than before. However, peak torque is slightly reduced to 120.9 Nm at 11,250 rpm, occurring 1,750 rpm higher in the rev range.
Chassis and Weight Reduction
While the front frame remains unchanged, the rear section is entirely new. Ducati has equipped the Panigale V4 with a conventional double-sided swingarm, resulting in a 2.7 kg weight reduction for the swingarm-rear wheel assembly. The bike now boasts 37% less lateral stiffness, enhancing its track performance by making it easier to ride at the limit.

Advanced Suspension and Tyres
The Panigale V4 features the latest Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 electronic suspension units, with a design inspired by Ducati’s MotoGP racer, the Desmosedici GP. This contributes to a 600 g weight saving. The bike runs on new Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 tyres, maintaining sizes of 120/70-ZR17 at the front and 200/60-ZR17 at the rear.
Electronics and Rider Aids
A new 6.9-inch TFT display controls all electronic rider aids. The updated electronics include the Race eCBS system, which monitors lean angle, throttle position, and rear load to automatically apply the rear brake. Additionally, the bike features power modes, traction control, launch control, wheelie control, riding modes, a bidirectional quickshifter, and ABS, all highly customizable.
